Join Vallejo Yoga teachers Dariece and Rhonda as we spend a Saturday afternoon resting, relaxing and renewing our bodies and quieting our minds.  Completely let go of worry, tension, and stress in your body and mind by spending longer periods of time in comfortable restorative yoga postures while receiving Reiki from Rhonda and Dariece. What is Reiki? Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle, hands-on technique that originated in Japan. It is given over the clothes while you sit or lay down. This simple yet powerful method is used to heal energy blockages in the chakra system of the body, restoring energy flow.  Reiki reduces stress, promotes relaxation and healing, and can be deeply soothing. Reiki provides a sense of well-being and strengthens your body’s ability to heal through better balance. Group size limited to 10 participants. Cost:  $50. Cash or check payable to Vallejo Yoga.

To preregister and hold your space, please mail or drop off cash, check or money order made payable to Vallejo Yoga; 532 Georgia Street, Vallejo 94590.  If you are dropping off payment and we are closed or class is in session, there is a mail slot to the right of the front door behind a big flower pot.  Please slip your envelope in and make sure it goes all the way through.  Include the name and the date of the session you are registering for and the name(s) of registrant(s) and contact phone number(s).  Your name will be added to the class list upon receipt of your registration fee.

Yoga Nidra with Laura

Sunday, September 10, 2017; 7:00-8:30 PM; Cost: $20 in advance / $25 at the door.

Find healing, stress reduction and rejuvenation through deep and purposeful rest.  If you can breathe and lie on the floor, you will be able to participate in yoga Nidra.

What is it? Nidra means sleep. Yoga Nidra is a yogic sleep technique used to fully relax and bring about a meditative state of consciousness. This deeply relaxing form of yoga awakens the connection between body, mind, and soul. The practice is like a deep sleep while you are still awake.

Yoga Nidra has multiple physical, emotional and mental benefits, including it may improve the quality of your sleep; soothe the effects of stress by triggering a calming effect; help with chronic pain, fatigue, depression, and PTSD; enhance mental focus and improve brain functioning as a whole, allowing new neural pathways to be created to fight stress and addiction.

It blows through your being, bringing stillness, inner peace, and perspective allowing for a deeper connection to oneself. It retrains your body-mind-spirit to appreciate relaxation and helps to develop inner resources for healing at all levels. Yoga Nidra helps bring a sense of ease and overall well-being to the practitioner.

This is your one “wild and precious life.”
Enrich it in all ways that you can.
Yoga Nidra is one of them.
